This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025. Prior to issuance of an offer of employment, the University is required to request and obtain additional information about an applicant’s background and, if required, conduct an additional review of that background information.

Requirements

M.D. or equivalent degree required.
Must be ABPN-certified or eligible for certification in Psychiatry with the expectation of becoming certified as per the UAMS bylaws.

Responsibilities

Teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Providing excellent clinical care, including evidence-based psychiatric diagnostic assessment and treatment.
Completing medical records according to professional standards and in a timely manner using the UAMS EMR system.
Additional services to the College, University, and profession are expected as needs are identified.
