The West Virginia University Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine seeks to fill two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor rank. Candidates with innovative research programs focused on the fundamental mechanisms underlying human disease are particularly sought. The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine offers a collaborative, multifaceted academic environment with active research in the areas of metabolism, RNA biology, structural biology, visual & sensory biology, and cell biology (http://medicine.hsc.wvu.edu/Biochemistry/). Faculty are backed by substantial salary support. The department maintains a highly regarded faculty mentoring program to help advance the careers of junior faculty. The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine is part of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, which incorporates the WVU Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, and Public Health.
