About The Position

This position is the result of a departmental retirement and has a preferred start date of August 2026. The primary duty will be to teach 6 Psychology courses per academic year. This position requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research training, as well as a commitment to engaging in scholarship commensurate with the school’s mission, and service/outreach to the University.

Requirements

Doctorate in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field; ABD will be considered.
A candidate must also have a plan for maintaining a productive scholarly program while in this position.
The candidate must be able to contribute to one or more of the following areas: Developmental Psychology, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, and/or Cognitive/Neuroscience curriculums.

Nice To Haves

The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and the ability to teach a range of courses, including core courses (General Psychology, Psychological Statistics, Research Methods, Diversity Courses, Experiential Courses) as needed, as well as courses in their area of expertise.
Candidates are expected to utilize effective teaching strategies which enhance the success of a diverse student body.
