Assistant Professor of Practice, Management (Non Tenure Track/Temporary)
About The Position
Saint Joseph’s University has a need for highly qualified Assistant Professor of Practice (Non Tenure Track) for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a temporary replacement position with the possibility of renewal. This is an in-person, on-campus position with a teaching load of 4 classes per semester, which will be schedule during the day, with the possibility of an evening class. We seek candidates with a demonstrated track record in teaching in at least two of these areas: - Organizational Behavior - Business Ethics - Strategy - Leadership For further information about the Department, please visit our website at https://www.sju.edu/departments/management Assistant Professors of Practice teach 4 courses each semester.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business, Management, or a related area
- Two years experience teaching in higher education
Responsibilities
- Teaching of specified courses & Preparation of materials
- Providing support and guidance to students (Student Advising)
- Reporting grades as well as cooperating in program assessment
- Representing the Management Department on University and Business School committees
- Providing intellectual contributions (academic or professional) to the Haub School of Business
- Uphold and comply with faculty responsibilities as described in the "Faculty Responsibilities" section of the Faculty Handbook.
- Take part in program and department planning and in the establishment of department goals and objectives.
- In addition to meeting all scheduled class session, Full Time non tenure-track faculty are expected to offer at least 4 hours of office hours each week.
