About The Position

The School of Mathematics and Computational Sciences at Millikin University invites applications for a tenure-track position in mathematics to begin on August 1, 2026. The initial appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. Millikin’s School of Mathematics and Computational Sciences offers majors in mathematics, applied statistics, mathematics education (secondary certification), computer science, and engineering science, as well as dual-degree partnerships in engineering. Over the past decade, nearly 100% of our majors have secured employment or entered graduate school within six months after graduation. In addition, the School teaches courses in support of the University's general education program and other programs across campus. Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline conferred before August 2026 is required for a tenure-track position.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching is required.
  • A full-time teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester.

Nice To Haves

  • Being able to teach introductory computer programming is a plus.
