About The Position
The Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction to begin August 7, 2026. The Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at USF has more than 100 students pursuing an undergraduate major, concentration, or 1 of 2 minors; a core of 8 full-time faculty in the department; and 70 allied and affiliate faculty across the university. We have a graduate program that offers a master’s degree and a graduate certificate and employs 8-10 teaching assistants/year. One of the oldest women’s studies departments in the country, WGSS at USF was the first public university in Florida to offer a BA degree. For more information, visit usf.edu/wgss.
