The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington ( UTA ) invites applications for an APT position in Resource and Energy Engineering ( REE ), with the tentative start date in Fall of 2026. We are seeking an outstanding APT Faculty with the potential to be a world-class leader in the strategic REE growth areas, with a preferred emphasis on: 1. Developing energy resources including renewable, fossil, and nuclear 2. Transporting, storage, and distribution of energy as electricity and fuel 3. Engineering design for energy infrastructure projects 4. Engineering management of industrial energy systems Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Engineering, or a related discipline appropriate to the REE research focus. The appointment will be in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering ( COE ). Applicants must show exceptional promises for high-quality teaching, curriculum administration, and professional development. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. The appointments are expected to commence September 1, 2026, for the start of the Fall 2026 semester. Rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor will be determined based on candidates experience and capabilities.
