The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of History. We are seeking an outstanding candidate to complement the faculty in our multidisciplinary School. Responsibilities include teaching twelve undergraduate hours per semester, including lower-level surveys of American history and upper-division courses related to the candidate’s field(s). The successful candidate will actively contribute to scholarly pursuits, departmental initiatives, and the intellectual and cultural life of the university and will demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population. Additional responsibilities include advising students pursuing a history and government major, committee assignments, participation in professional development, attending regularly scheduled faculty and department meetings, and other duties associated with a tenure-track faculty position.
