About The Position

Marist University (Poughkeepsie, NY) seeks an Assistant Professor of Games and Emerging Media. This role involves teaching courses in the Games & Emerging Media program each semester while maintaining a high level of professional engagement through research and service. The Assistant Professor will specifically prepare teaching outlines detailing the course of study, assign lessons, grade homework and classroom papers, administer tests to assess students' progress, and issue reports to inform students and college administration about the quality of educational achievements attained.

Responsibilities

• Teaching courses in the Games & Emerging Media program each semester
• Maintaining a high level of professional engagement through research and service.
• Preparing teaching outlines detailing the course of study
• Assigning lessons
• Grading homework and classroom papers
• Administering tests to assess students' progress
• Issuing reports to inform students and college administration about the quality of educational achievements attained.

• Tuition Benefits: Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26. University pays 100% tuition only. Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution. Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the University.
