The School of Education at Indiana University South Bend is seeking a full-time, tenure track faculty Assistant Professor of Secondary/Foundation of Education with training in and knowledge of Educational Research practices. This position will be instrumental in aligning the program with state requirements related to the use of science-based reading curriculum and enhancing literacy outcome. Responsibilities will include: The full-time load (100% FTE ) is 12 credit hours (typically four courses) each fall and spring semester, with one course (25% FTE ) reassigned time for scholarly and creative activities following university & campus policies. Teaching in the summer is voluntary and compensated separately. Courses may be in-person, Online, hybrid, or in additional formats, and may be offered in the evenings/weekends and off campus partner locations. Candidate is in the process of establishing or continuing a robust research agenda. The candidate aspires to develop a national or international presence in their field. The candidate is familiar with quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research techniques. Assisting in School/Division Level data planning, collection and analysis, as needed. Providing service to the school, college, campus, and university and participate in shared governance activities Working collaboratively with faculty from across campuses, K-12 schools, and outside agencies.
