About The Position

As assistant professor of biology, this position is responsible for teaching both major and non-major courses, advising, directing undergraduate research, conducting committee work, and other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Biological, Chemical, and Health Sciences. Area of expertise is open.

Responsibilities

• Teaches 27 hours, as assigned, annually within the Department of Biological, Chemical, and Health Sciences.
• Serves as the academic advisor for departmental majors.
• Develops and mentors an undergraduate research team designed to encourage and promote a dynamic undergraduate research experience.
• Serves on university committees as assigned.
• Attends daily Chapel.
• Participates in university recruitment activities.
