About The Position

The Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at D’Youville University invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor of Biology. We seek student centered educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to fostering student success. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate instruction in the biological sciences. Preferred candidates will have the ability to teach in Human Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology, in addition to introductory and upper-level courses aligned with their expertise. This position offers the opportunity to participate in departmental initiatives, curriculum development, academic advising, and scholarly activity that may involve undergraduate or graduate students. The department supports majors in Biology and Biochemistry, as well as provides foundational coursework for D’Youville’s numerous health science programs. Requirements

  • A terminal degree (Ph.D.) in a biological science discipline is required

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback, assessment, and academic support to students
  • Maintain regular office hours and accessible communication channels with students
  • Engage in departmental and university service, including committee participation and community engagement
  • Develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda, with opportunities to involve students
