About The Position

Assistant Professor of Accounting Hendrix College invites applications for a three-year visiting position in the area of Accounting within the Economics and Business Department to begin in August 2026. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. Primary teaching duties will include introductory and upper level accounting courses in our undergraduate and Master of Arts in Accounting programs. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach in at least two of the following areas: financial accounting, managerial/cost accounting, tax, auditing, governmental/non-profit accounting, accounting information systems, and general business topics (such as business strategy or management). The normal teaching load is three courses per semester. Applicants with at least a master’s degree, a CPA certificate, and appropriate work experience will be considered.
