About The Position

The University of Connecticut School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting commencing in the fall of 2026. Although we will consider candidates with a range of relevant curricular and scholarly expertise in the field of accounting, we are specifically seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in taxation. We are especially interested in receiving applications from candidates who will add to the diversity of our faculty and community. We welcome applications from underrepresented groups and other candidates with experiences, backgrounds, and viewpoints that will enrich our community and further our mission. Founded in 1881, UConn is a Land Grant and Sea Grant institution and member of the Space Grant Consortium. Requirements

  • Earned Ph.D. (or equivalent) in accounting or related field expected by August 22, 2026.
  • Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable.
  • Demonstrated potential to establish a successful research and scholarship record.
  • Demonstrated promise of excellence in teaching.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in scholarly research in taxation.
  • Demonstrated interest in teaching tax courses.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity through their academic and research programs.
  • Applicants for the rank of associate professor should possess a record of research, excellent teaching performance, and involvement in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral education.
