About The Position

The Department of Accounting in the College of Business, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Accounting, APT . Applicants must have the ability to be qualified to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting, managerial accounting, accounting information systems, accounting analytics and taxation. Being able to teach in multiple areas is a definite advantage. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to attain and maintain Scholarly Academic status for AACSB accreditation purposes. In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Requirements

  • Possess a PhD or equivalent in Accounting at the time of joining the faculty or be ABD and close to finishing the PhD.
  • Professional certification in accounting.
  • Professional work experience in the area of teaching.
  • All candidates should be teaching/prepared to teach in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting, managerial accounting, accounting information systems, accounting analytics, and taxation.
