Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor, Clinical - Department of Emergency Medicine at its Detroit campus location.

Requirements

• MD degree and residency required.
• If MD degree required must have a valid Michigan medical license.
• Training in Emergency Medicine with a Fellowship in Emergency Medical Services.

Responsibilities

• Teach emergency medicine residents, medical students, and fellows.
• Ultrasound Faculty with responsibility for training the Fellows, Residents, and students.
• Participate in and support the department's academic and research activities. Participate in Point of Care Ultrasound research, including original investigation, data reviews, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Attend CC meetings and serve on department and professional committees at the local, regional, and/or national levels. Attend WSU Department of Emergency Medicine faculty meetings and DMC sitespecific staff meetings.
• Attachment as Assistant EMS Fellowship Director: Assist EMS Fellowship Director, including EMS resident and student training.
• Serve as EMS Director and provide Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training at HVSH
