About The Position

Mercy University invites nominations and applications for 12-month faculty positions in the nursing program. This is an opportunity to join an engaged team of professional and dedicated colleagues in a CCNE-accredited program that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. We welcome dynamic educators to our team who want to make a difference in students' lives and in their profession. For the undergraduate program the positions include teaching a variety of nursing courses, with particular needs in medical-surgical, health assessment, and fundamentals. Undergraduate programs are on the Dobbs Ferry and Bronx campuses. Responsibilities include teaching with an emphasis on high impact teaching practices and active learning. Mercy University is a nonsectarian, nonprofit New York metropolitan area institution offering over 90 undergraduate and graduate programs. Mercy University proudly serves a diverse student body of approximately 9000 and is a Federally designated Hispanic-serving institution. Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in an academic setting preferred.
  • Unencumbered NYS License
  • Experience teaching in an online format
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • MS in Nursing (required)

Nice To Haves

  • DNP, PhD, or EdD preferred.
