About The Position

Position Summary The School of Nursing at The University of Tulsa seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track position to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs for the 2023-24 academic year beginning in August 2023. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience, teaching, and current professional status. Service responsibilities include work with department, college, and/or university committees as well as student mentoring, taking an active role in recruiting, curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation, and making connections with related programs on campus. The ideal candidate should also conduct and publish research in the candidate’s chosen field that would lead to tenure. Requirements

  • PhD/EdD in Nursing or related degree
  • BSN and/or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • graduate of an accredited college/school of nursing
  • current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Oklahoma or eligible to obtain a license
  • ability to communicate with students who are at various stages of their education
  • eagerness to teach undergraduate and graduate nursing students
  • an enthusiasm for contributing to the university community

Nice To Haves

  • Formal teaching experience in an undergraduate and/or graduate program
  • formal instruction in curriculum, instruction, and evaluation
  • evidence of a strong research agenda and the potential to secure progressive external funding
