About The Position

The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University, invites applications for a full-time teaching position in Health Administration, with appointments expected to begin July 2026. The school offers an established undergraduate Health Administration major leading to a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, a Master of Health Administration (M.H.A) degree—currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education ( CAHME ) and ranked #28 in U.S. News & World Report—and recently launched a Doctor of Health Administration (D.H.A.) program in Fall 2025. The position is a non-tenure-track, multi-year teaching appointment. Applicants should have both academic experience and professional experience in health administration.

Nice To Haves

  • A Ph.D., DrPH., or D.H.A. is strongly preferred; however, other terminal degrees in Health Administration or a related field from an accredited institution with prior full-time academic experience will be considered.
  • A strong record of teaching excellence, preferably in both classroom and online environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A record of success in advising and mentoring students and contributing to departmental and/or university committees.
  • The ability to remain current and relevant in the field through active practice engagement.
