Requirements

  • Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact required.
  • Must have at least one (1) year previous leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in an emergency department.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
  • BSN or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills required with the ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed.
  • Must be highly proficient with emergency nursing clinical skills.
  • Effective problem solving, critical thinking skills and a willingness to adapt to a changing work environment required.
  • Must be an effective team-oriented leader, assisting and mentoring others to facilitate patient customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains clinical and professional evidence-based competency levels required of age-specific populations.
  • Must be able to identify appropriate staffing, supply, maintenance, and equipment needs and adjust as necessary within budgetary guidelines.
