About The Position

As an Assistant Manager at Starbucks in New York-New York, you will lead the daily operations of a high-energy, guest-focused café, ensuring every guest experience is welcoming, efficient, and memorable. You will support and develop your team, drive service excellence, and help create a positive, fast-paced environment where both guests and employees thrive. Requirements

  • Is 21+ years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ Years of prior relevant service experience in a similar dining environment
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Review daily schedules and manage time off and vacation requests, coach and train on policies, procedures, and performance
  • Supervise cashiers to ensure correct policies and procedures for check handling and closing are maintained by service staff as well as manage activities; means of access and egress, to ensure complete compliance with Health Department and Fire Marshall Regulations
  • Directly communicate with the Chef on all food service and menu issues
  • Assist in seasonal menu changes and holiday menu changes
  • Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing
  • Exercise cost controls for all aspects of restaurant operation
  • Manage pricing and maintenance issues to ensure checks can be processed correctly
  • Direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations
