About The Position

The Assistant Stage Manager reports to the Stage Manager and is responsible for taking ownership of their assigned area. They should have a complete knowledge of their area, tech and talent and be able to address cast concerns and properly disseminate tech information to the appropriate technical teams. They support the Stage Manager in operating their area and maintain all scheduling. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or two show venues. Promotes positive guest experiences by ensuring that the venue(s) including both talent and technical aspects run at the optimum performance levels.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • 0-1 Year: Experience in working in fast paced environment, flexible, organized is required.
  • 1+ years previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
  • 6 months+ experience within the professional entertainment or theme park industry required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • 1+ Years Prior entertainment and/or management experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the supervision and evaluation of all talent and administrative staff for the assigned venue(s) assuring that all administrative duties are completed in a timely, accurate manner including but not limited to scheduling, payroll, daily flash, overtime summary and other budgetary functions for the assigned venue(s).
  • Monitor all performance and backstage areas for quality, safety, etc.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating necessary information which pertains to the operation of the assigned entertainment venue(s), to both upper management and employees of the venue(s).
  • Accountable to administer all company policies & procedures as well as handle all employee relations issues pertaining to the assigned venue (s).
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Directly responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all talent and administrative staff for the assigned venue(s). This includes but is not limited to the training of all new employees assigned to the venue and assessing employee performance both annually and quarterly.
  • Is required to periodically represent the Entertainment Department as Manager on Duty (499) for all entertainment venues in their assigned park. Responsibilities include but are not limited to problem solving all issues involving the venues as well as employees and communicating those issues to the appropriate Management Representation.
  • Accountable for assuring that all administrative duties are completed in a timely, accurate manner including but not limited to scheduling, payroll, daily flash, overtime summary and other budgetary functions for the assigned venue(s).
