About The Position

NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution is responsible for the licensing and distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in the U.S., Canada and in over 200 territories internationally. NBCUniversal’s content portfolio includes a vast and diverse library of more than 6,500 feature films and 170,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, kids, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios, Sky Studios, NBC Late Night properties, DreamWorks Animation, Telemundo, and more, as well as locally produced content from around the world. Global TV Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal. The Assistant Manager Sales Administration is responsible for managing and administering a number of Television deals in EST (Electronic Sell-Through) for a number of designated territories and providing sales administration support to Domestic and International Sales Teams. The Assistant Manager will be reporting to the Manager, Digital TV Sales Planning and Administration.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret legal agreements/documents
  • Ability to learn and navigate systems and databases
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external clients/customers
  • Must work effectively under own initiative
  • Understanding of/ability to learn avails and product windowing
  • Team player willing to be flexible and responsive to the business/department needs
  • Proactive individual who contributes to the smooth running and efficiency of the department

Responsibilities

  • Administer and effectively manage output deals for a number of designated territories
  • Provide availability lists to sales or directly to clients, per contractual obligations within our long term license agreements and per ad hoc requests from sales
  • Establish direct relationships with clients & assist them with queries/needs that arise
  • Read and interpret license agreements to ensure accuracy in deal entry
  • Send legally binding notices (“product inclusion notices” or PINS) to clients per contractual obligations
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and deadlines are met
  • Research rights and confirm eligibility of product for inclusion into TV deals
  • Input and track EST licenses using SAFE database (or new systems as they become available), price product, process deals internally and obtain deal approvals
  • Liaise with international television divisions regarding dating and local acquisitions and internally with Legal, Finance and Marketing
  • Work closely with Distribution to ensure timely delivery of product
  • Maintain specific territory airdate tracking grids
  • Contribute to process automation projects by identifying and testing system enhancements
  • Create and process international and domestic EST sales licensing reports as well as other reports as needed
