About The Position

Are you able to influence and embrace change by initiating creative solutions? Culinesse, LLC is looking for an Assistant Manager of Healthcare Dining Services to join our team! A Healthcare Manager who can lead by example and has experience with leading a dining services team. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation and management of the dining room. This includes resident seating, service, and meal satisfaction. The general responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, those listed below (under “Tasks”). These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements. This is a highly collaborative position that requires the ability to balance multiple tasks at one time, prioritize, work with diverse constituencies, and address competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in dining services management required
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local regulations
  • Ability to instruct, direct and lead dining room staff
  • Must relate well to employees, residents and visitors
  • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Is proficient in computer skills and report management experience
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, to actively look for ways to help people, and to be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession is required; this includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems and excellent oral, reading and written communication skills
  • Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions, to monitor or assess the performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
  • Must comply with any dress code requirements
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the contract location and Culinesse.
  • Deliver professional greetings to all clients and visitors to the highest standards while creating a positive, productive working environment.
  • Monitor, manage, and review the catering and cleaning contracts
  • Ensure the team leaders and dining management coordinate their staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional front-of-house services.
  • Implement dynamic operational working procedures to support the delivery of service excellence.
  • Develop strong communication and line reporting procedures to guide service implementation, making improvements or changes where required.
  • Implement safe working practices to ensure the safety of building occupiers, staff, and visitors.
  • Design efficient continuous improvement training programs to achieve all objectives and maintain control on POS according to all procedures while always maintaining customer and resident satisfaction.
  • Design and implement an efficient promotional campaign for dining venues and provide training to all staff.
  • Assist in recruiting and selecting appropriate employees for all dining venues and provide required training to maintain knowledge of all menu items.
  • Administer the everyday operations of dining venues to ensure standards are being met.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
