About The Position

Key Responsibilities  Leadership & Team Support Support the Unit Manager in supervising, training, coaching, and developing supervisors and associates. Lead by example with a strong, visible presence on the floor during operational shifts. Reinforce company policies, procedures, and service standards consistently and professionally. Assist with performance feedback, coaching discussions, and corrective action documentation as directed. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture. Guest Experience Deliver and reinforce exceptional guest service standards at all times. Proactively address guest concerns and resolve service issues in real time. Support proper staffing, positioning, and service flow during peak travel periods. Ensure the service and retail areas are clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout each shift. Operations & Food Service Execution Actively participate in food, beverage, barista, and retail operations as a working leader. Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Maintain brand standards for product quality, preparation, presentation, and portion control. Support opening, closing, and shift change procedures. Identify operational challenges and communicate issues and solutions to the Unit Manager. Financial & Inventory Support Assist with labor management by adhering to schedules and productivity expectations. Support cash handling procedures, drawer accountability, and loss prevention practices. Participate in inventory counts, product rotation, and variance reporting as assigned. Help identify opportunities to minimize waste and improve operational efficiency. Compliance, Safety & Airport Requirements Ensure compliance with all airport, TSA, Snohomish County, and company security requirements. Follow and reinforce airport access, credentialing, and security protocols. Promote a safe work environment and immediately report or address safety concerns or hazards.   Qualifications Minimum 2–4 years of leadership experience in food service, coffee, retail, or hospitality. Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume, highly regulated environment. Proven ability to lead by example and maintain operational standards. Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and inventory processes. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed. Open and flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.   Airport Requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a Paine Field Airport Security Badge issued through Snohomish County. Must successfully pass all TSA-required background checks and fingerprinting. Must comply with all airport, TSA, Snohomish County, and security regulations at all times.   Work Environment This role operates in a secure airport environment and requires frequent interaction with travelers, airport personnel, vendors, and internal teams. The Assistant Manager must maintain flexibility, strong leadership presence, and hands-on operational focus while adhering to strict safety, security, and operational standards.

Requirements
