This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Summit Club, set outside of Las Vegas, NV. Summit Club is seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for the leadership and coordination of the F&B Operation. Primarily taking responsibility for all outlets which encompass casual dining to fine dining experiences within the club. The Assistant Manager will work to maintain and improve operational standards for both in the front of house and back of house to ensure all guests receive exceptional and genuine service at all times, reflective of international luxury service standards. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members
  • 5+ years in a management role of a fine dining establishment or other related experience strongly recommended
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling
  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly.
  • Shifts may vary based on business needs.
  • Must possess active SNHD Health Card, TAM Card, and Sherriff’s Card.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets at the Summit Club.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve service offerings to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Organize the restaurant and prepare in an efficient manner to cope with the daily restaurant covers
  • Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
  • Report any issues or concerns immediately
  • Thorough understanding of restaurant menus and pricing
  • Provide assistance to effectively manage the restaurant through observance and teamwork, ensuring floor presence and communication with colleagues
  • All government, safety, health, and security standards are always compliant through the department.
  • Responsible for staffing levels and scheduling of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Approve all PTO requests and manage staffing adjustments as needed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork among staff members.
  • Lead by example and anticipate daily business levels
  • Continuously create and implement new ideas for training and development.
  • Supervise the staff designated to the event, including servers, bartenders, and support staff, ensuring that they are properly trained, motivated, and equipped to deliver excellent service.
  • Lead pre-event briefings to communicate event details, delegate responsibilities, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team throughout the event.
  • Anticipate and proactively address any issues or challenges that may arise during events, such as equipment malfunctions, staff shortages, or guest complaints
  • Work closely with the events team to execute all club and member events
  • Collaborate with the Summit’s events team, members, and clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Ensure flawless execution of events, from set-up to breakdown, while maintaining attention to detail and exceeding expectations.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the events team, members, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
  • Foster positive relationships with club members and guests to enhance their dining and event experiences.
  • Solicit feedback and implement improvements to continuously elevate member satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison between members and club management to address any concerns or special requests
  • Execute thorough inventories to accurately capture consumption and cost for general operations & special events.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
