About The Position

Assist in fulfilling Risk Management department duties and responsibilities. Support department leadership with its enterprise risk management strategies, and practices (ERM). In coordination with technical process owners, implement, document, and review processes and plans that prepare for business and operational disruptions. Support department efforts to perform risk and hazard analysis and assessments, mitigation efforts, and compliance reporting. Coordinate trainings, exercises, recovery, and other action-oriented activities that the department performs. Manage the insurance program for capital projects. Assist management in its other practices, standards, and responsibilities, including, but not limited to insurance, contract review, business continuity, field investigations, compliance reviews, and analytics. Effectively communicate within all levels within the Aviation Authority, as well as with consultants, insurance brokers, vendors, tenants, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, or other similar field or minimum three (3) years’ experience in construction risk management, enterprise risk management, risk management, insurance account management, or an equivalent combination closely related training, education, and experience.
  • Ability to analyze and assess operational-related risk
  • Ability to analyze and assess construction-related risk
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with insight for growth
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortability with public speaking, to represent the department in committees and presentations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational capabilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and capability to quickly learn and utilize other computer systems, software, and cloud-based applications
  • Demonstrate and uphold GOAA Trust Contract, with such key components as positive attitude, proactive communication, consistency, integrity, accountability, and teamwork
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
  • Insurance/Risk Management training/certifications to be pursued upon hire, as assigned by department management

Nice To Haves

  • Any training, experience, or certifications in project management is a plus.
