About The Position

Blood Assurance is seeking a highly organized, service-oriented leader to serve as Assistant Director of Fleet and Facilities, supporting operations across a large, diverse, multi-state geographic footprint. This role ensures operational readiness for 20 fixed sites and 20 mobile units, while also supporting the Director as needed is his role overseeing a specialized bloodmobile manufacturing program serving both internal operations and external blood center partners.

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities management, fleet operations, manufacturing, or related field (healthcare environment preferred)
  • Previous multi-site unit leadership experience required
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success building and managing preventative maintenance programs
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
  • Knowledge of regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Budget oversight and contract management experience preferred
  • Have effective oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to exert up to 100lbs of force occasionally, and/ or up to 50lbs of force frequently, and/ or up to 20lbs of force constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for 20 fixed facilities and 20 mobile units
  • Provide strong day-to-day leadership to facilities and fleet staff, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, responsiveness, and customer service
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, safety standards, and operational readiness across all locations
  • Support planning, construction, and build-out of new facilities during rapid organizational growth
  • Assist the Director as needed in overseeing a bloodmobile manufacturing program that produces buses for internal use and external blood center partners
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance, inspections, repairs, and lifecycle management
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and capital equipment requests
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Track budgets, maintenance schedules, KPIs, and operational reporting
  • Respond to facility and fleet emergencies as needed
