About The Position

Provides customer service and serves as a main contact point for applicants seeking employment with the College. Performs various aspects of the hiring process, including employee onboarding and position close-out procedures. Responsible for pre-employment and administrative duties to support office operations.

Requirements

  • Understands and performs administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Apply principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of basic principles of college-level administration.
  • Effective communication techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, telephones, copiers, and scanners.
  • Ability to follow and apply knowledge of college policies and procedures.
  • Maintain schedules effectively.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Adherence to confidentiality laws.
  • Proficiency word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Associate degree.
  • One (1) year of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Equivalency plus three (3) years of related experience may satisfy the minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service by assisting applicants, employees, and supervisors; responds to inquiries and provides accurate and timely information.
  • Supports employment processes, including onboarding, employee changes, and employment verifications, following established procedures.
  • Prepares and sends correspondence and notifications to applicants and employees.
  • Performs administrative duties to support daily office operations.
  • Gathers information, prepares routine reports, and reviews data for accuracy.
  • Assists with the new hire onboarding process and helps welcome new employees.
  • Assists with orientation sessions, departmental events, and other activities as needed.
  • Provides support for projects, research, and process-related tasks.
  • Processes unemployment claims, credential verifications, faculty fingerprinting, and employment verifications in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Assists with staff training activities and the implementation of programs and processes.
  • Maintains records and completes transactions in HR systems (e.g., creating employee accounts and positions, processing employee updates).
  • Assists with employee separation and offboarding processes in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintains quality service by following organizational standards and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support team and departmental needs.
