The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Custodial, Laundry, and Housekeeping teams. This role ensures a consistently high standard of cleanliness and guest experience across all public and service areas, in alignment with Canyon Ranch's core standards. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to team management and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping, custodial, or a related field
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history
  • CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises all Housekeeping, Custodial, and Laundry staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Conducts regular training, coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinates all department functions, including timekeeping, time-off requests, and administrative tasks.
  • Maintains cleanliness standards through inspections and regular staff follow-up in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Manages ordering and inventory of supplies and materials to align with budgetary constraints and occupancy needs.
  • Ensures payroll accuracy by verifying timecards and completing bi-weekly payroll and monthly financial reporting.
  • Works closely with the Custodial team to ensure high standards for PM shifts, public area upkeep, and event/function setups.
  • Supports and collaborates with the broader Operations team to enhance guest satisfaction.
