About The Position

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and high service standards throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role assists in supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping or hospitality operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in housekeeping software and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual abilities (e.g., English/Spanish) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.
  • Assist in training housekeeping team members
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens
  • Collaborate with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure timely room readiness and address repair needs
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve complaints with professionalism and care
  • Maintain accurate records of schedules, inspections, and supply usage
  • Enforce safety and sanitation policies in compliance with local health regulations
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in administrative tasks and serve as acting manager in their absence
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
