About The Position

The Mountain Sky Guest Ranch housekeeping department upholds 4-diamond cleaning standards in a resort ranch environment. Daily housekeeping service in our 32 guest cabins and shared facilities are required. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager by helping to train, schedule, and work alongside our Guest Services staff as they rotate through the department. This role assists with inspections, guest requests, laundry operations, inventory, and coordination with other departments. The Assistant Manager must be prepared to step in and oversee daily operations in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow direction and execute plans that align with departmental goals and objectives
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • At least a High School Degree or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to carry, use hands, eyes, arms, and voice
  • Safely and effectively use cleaning supplies and agents
  • Safe and effective use of all housekeeping equipment
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • Includes periodic long and after-hours work
  • Expect to walk up to 6 miles per day

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring that up to 32 cabins are cleaned daily to our strict industry standard
  • Perform cabin inspections and communicate cleared cabins with the front desk on turnaround days
  • Help foster an inclusive and positive work environment for the guest services staff
  • Abide by and promote the Blank Family of Business Core Values
  • Assist in creating daily cleaning teams among the guest services staff rotating through the Housekeeping Department
  • Support upkeep of all ranch laundry, including sheets, towels, dining linens, and more
  • Maintain an organized office and storage space
  • Communicate regularly with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure continuity of operations and preparedness to assume duties when needed
  • Assist in promoting customer relations and help resolve guest concerns when they arise
  • Provide departmental updates in the Housekeeping Manager’s absence, including at weekly manager meetings
  • Help ensure all work is distributed fairly and equitably
  • Display a positive attitude and maintain cooperative working relationships with managers and staff across departments
  • Assist with training and supporting housekeepers and guest services staff assigned to housekeeping
  • Act as a working supervisor, participating in daily cleaning and laundry tasks alongside staff
  • Assist with inventory management of supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as directed and document transactions with the accounting department
