This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Jasmin Hospitality Management Inc. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. The Fairfield Inn & Suites West Palm Beach is hiring for an Assistant General Manager. The position is to assist the General Manager in managing daily hotel operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Responsibilities Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards As the Assistant General Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the General Manager in managing daily hotel operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading, directing and managing all hotel operations including, but not limited to, hotel budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, managing balanced scorecard performance, implementing and complying with all company policies and brand standards, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives, responding to guests inquiries and resolving concerns, and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Serve as multi-department head for Maintenance and Housekeeping
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, assessing and evaluating, coaching and counseling and recognizing and rewarding department heads
  • Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance and service and financial measurement
  • Assist in identifying operational performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implementing measures to correct those deficiencies
  • Ensure guest and team member satisfaction
  • Serve and act as General Manager in his or her absence
