The Assistant General Manager/Event Captain leads the on-site execution of all events while also serving as a floor leader for the social business. This role is responsible for driving revenue, coaching staff, managing guest experience standards, and ensuring operational excellence across events, leagues, simulator rentals, and food & beverage. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct ownership of guest satisfaction, team performance, and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of event, hospitality, or operations leadership experience
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-touch guest experiences
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-first mindset with sales and service instincts
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Passion for hospitality; golf knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue in simulator rentals, food & beverage, leagues, and events.
  • Coach and evaluate staff performance; support hiring, onboarding, and training.
  • Set and uphold service standards across all guest touchpoints.
  • Oversee daily social operations: leagues, sims, events, F&B, and facilities flow.
  • Build relationships with guests and community partners to drive loyalty and repeat visits.
  • Actively manage labor, costs, and service efficiency.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across golf tech, leagues, memberships, food, and beverage.
  • Support local marketing initiatives and P&L performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Support opening and closing duties as needed
  • Lead on-site execution of all events, including guest greetings, space setup, timelines, issue resolution, and financial close-out.
  • Ensure contracted services are delivered and exceed expectations.
  • Manage simulators and event spaces per contract requirements.
  • Train, schedule, and coordinate event staff.
  • Partner with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, high-quality service.
  • Conduct active guest check-ins and resolve concerns in real time.
  • Drive event extensions, add-ons, and repeat business.
  • Provide post-event feedback to Sales to improve return bookings.
  • Manage event inventory and supplies.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings and support the Event Sales Manager with admin needs.
