About The Position

What You'll Do: • Provides general legal advice to the Casino Control Commission • Drafts and facilitates implementation of new and amended administrative rules • Conducts legal research on a variety of complex legal issues, including preparing written opinions or memoranda • Reviews and responds to public record requests • Drafts and facilitates the implementation of new and amended policies and procedures • Prepares Notices of Opportunity for Hearing and Notices of Violation for licensing and regulatory compliance violations • Supports the Attorney Generals Office in administrative hearings, appeals, and general litigation • Responds to inquires from the public and other governmental authorities • Monitors legislation for agency or legal impact • Assists in labor relations matters, including the discipline and grievance process

Requirements

  • Admission to Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of Revised Code
  • 12 mos. exp. as licensed attorney
  • 6 mos. exp. in employee training & development
