The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the daily operations of the Deuce Restaurant. Oversee and assist in all areas of the operation. Members and guests receive the highest level of service set by the resort & country club. Must be willing and able to work various/multiple outlets and shifts within the Food and Beverage Division.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree and a minimum of three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines.
  • Proficient with Info Genesis and required paperwork.
  • Familiar with pertinent ABC laws.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle.
  • Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy.
  • Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
  • Oversee the operations of the Deuce Restaurant and Deuce Banquets (Floor Presence).
  • Ensure Guest satisfaction in their dining experience.
  • Ensure all Employees are trained in accordance with Pinehurst standards.
  • Check the Dining Room, Bar, Outside Veranda, Banquet areas before and after service for cleanliness, and maintenance needs and proper set-up.
  • Ensure dining room, patio & bar are properly set for all meal periods.
  • Complete paperwork promptly (i.e. deposits, tips sheets and schedules).
  • Input Schedule for outlet in Ceridian weekly.
  • Maintain inventory of liquor, beer, wine, and food for the outlet.
  • Conduct daily line-ups, service training, and Safety Training.
  • Perform bartending, serving and expediting duties.
  • Participate in the performance review process.
  • Participate in disciplinary counseling.
  • Ensure proper supplies are on hand at all times in order to effectively service the guest.
  • Ensure Standards of Operation and company policies.
  • Ensure that all Products are purchased, requisitions, and inventoried properly in EATEC.
  • Maintain Health Standards.
  • Ensure that all of the department’s allocate the service stations for meal periods.
  • Handle all guest concerns that arise in dining outlet.
  • Assist with payroll and expense control associated with dining outlet.
  • Responsible for the development of staff in the Deuce (busser to server, etc.).
  • Ensure all reports are completed in a timely manner, i.e., menus scores, special events summaries, maintenance walk through.
  • Assume total accountability for dining outlet activities.
  • Complete weekly schedule by Saturday for Review on Sunday with F&B Manager.
  • Check Reservation Book Daily to make sure everything is in line.
  • Greet and seat guests, monitor the consistent use of the standards of service.
  • Manage hourly staff, a total of 50-60 Employees in the Deuce.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Deuce.
  • Directly supervise various non-supervisory employees.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Appraise performance.
  • Reward and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems both front and heart of the house.
  • Work in various locations of Food and Beverage outlets depending on business levels.
  • Work holidays wherever needed even if your primary outlet is closed.
