About The Position

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Equipment Solutions Manager-E&I (MN-HQ) to support our growing E+I Group. This role partners with other Equipment Solutions Managers to provide leadership and project assistance. Location: Minneapolis, MN

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in construction, business, equipment rental, and/or project management or 8+ years of equivalent professional trade experience
  • Experience with budget planning and financial oversight
  • Effective communication both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize based on workload
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Valid US Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Ability to travel 50%

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction equipment and materials (preferred)
  • Familiarity with basic maintenance/service schedules

Responsibilities

  • Managing and setting up owned equipment & tooling services and repairs
  • Equipment planning and scheduling with internal project teams, equipment solutions teams, and 3rd party vendors
  • Large inventory management
  • Financial forecasting and budgeting
  • Rental software contract management
  • Equipment logistics planning
  • Vendor relations
  • Understanding of construction equipment maintenance, opportunities, constraints and requirements
  • Lead department initiatives to include development, training and support
  • Manage a team of non-craft team members
  • Support innovation by encouraging new process development
  • Travel expectation 50%

  • The base pay range for this role is $98,800 - $133,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
  • Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
