About The Position

This position is responsible in assisting engineers with documentation, process, hardware, software, and general engineering related support activities. Tasks typically are routine and are reviewed for adequacy, accuracy, and completeness. Must demonstrate the ability to support several engineers, providing a wide variety of basic administrative, hardware, software, and computer skills to assist engineering projects. Assignments may include assisting with word processing, data entry, ordering, sorting, and counting parts, parts pick-up and delivery, and preliminary document preparation utilizing computing resources, change management process, and requirements capture.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Tools Suite (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT)
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite as needed (2-3 days a week minimum)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines
  • Experience with SAP, Shipping, and/or Export Compliance

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tool support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management, parts ordering and tracking tools.
  • Generate reports as required.
  • Operates within an environment with constantly shifting priorities and is able to manage change to enable the team to work efficiently.
  • Assists in tracking action items and tasks in the change management tools and Excel.
  • Builds productive working relationships internally.
  • Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
  • Edits format of software / hardware documentation based on direction from peer group and engineering.
  • Assists in ordering, tracking, delivering, and shipping of program materials.
  • Performs project non-technical duties using detailed verbal/written instructions and standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks, adhering to Policy/Process deployment.
