About The Position

The Assistant Director will be the project lead by performing a variety of work tasks that support the college and the project, and coordinates assigned services and activities with the Director of Mentoring and Coaching.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Education, Public Administration, Marketing or Business Administration and 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in the delivery of project support services
  • Principles of program implementation, marketing, and evaluation
  • Methods and techniques of academic advising
  • Methods and practices of financial record keeping
  • General record keeping and reporting procedures
  • Modern office method, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to work within a team setting
  • Plan market, and coordinate support service activities of a community college campus
  • Interrelate effectively and work closely with support services personnel on the campus
  • Analyze situations and provide input on policy and procedural matters
  • Interpret and apply College policies, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Manages and coordinates the activities of the TRIO Student Support Services program.
  • Plans, prioritizes, assigns, and reviews the work of Trio Student Support Services and other supporting campus staff.
  • Assists the implementation of the program to assure timely attainment of the goals.
  • Coordinates assigned activities of project staff with the College faculty, Registration Office, Bookstore, Business Office, Library, Counseling and other appropriate divisions and departments to ensure efficient service delivery to project participants.
  • Develops, publishes and ensures the application of methods, policies and procedures necessary for effective annual performance reporting.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with CPCC's instructional and noninstructional divisions and with local community agencies.
  • Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities; recommend improvements and modifications; prepares various reports on operation and activities.
  • Participates in the selection of campus staff and providing or coordinating staff training.
  • Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives.
  • Identifies, develops, markets and coordinates classes, programs and services.
  • Coordinates material resources and office supplies.
  • Participates in budget preparation and administration; prepares cost estimates for budget recommendations; submits justifications for requested expenditures.
  • Continually advise all relevant program activities to the Director, Grant staff and other important parties
  • Performs other duties as assigned
