About The Position

This position manages the day-to-day activities of patient care under the direction of the Director of Therapy Services and acts in the absence of the Director of Therapy Services. Supports staff development activities within the therapy department.

Requirements

  • Licensed/Certified in an Allied Health Field related to therapies (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in training required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of management/supervisory experience is required.
  • Exhibits accuracy, integrity, and flexibility; is punctual and dependable.
  • Possess organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with self-direction and effectiveness under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills; possesses group facilitation skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability in conflict negotiation and ability to exercise diplomacy and tact in potentially volatile situations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for provision of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.
  • Understanding and adherence to all UTMC and Rehab Services policies and procedures.
  • Regularly updates knowledge and skills within area of expertise and management skills.
