The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for an Assistant Director of Security in its Investigation Bureau. In this position, with some latitude for independent judgment and initiative, the Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in supervising and providing physical security, safety, and maintenance of order in the office. Reporting to the Director of Security, the Assistant Director will oversee delegated security measures at DANY. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assists in directing and supervising security unit in accordance with standing orders. - In the absence of the Director, supervises, works with, approves weekly timesheets, and evaluates the performance of Security staff. - Escorts Assistant District Attorneys and witnesses to and from court. - Coordinates with Human Resources to post job openings and conducts interviews of applicants for security roles. - Assists in preparing the unit's daily work schedule. - Coordinates operations with the police department and other law enforcement agencies as required. - Working on special projects and tasks as assigned. - Must be willing to work flexible hours.
