Bargaining Unit: UUP Job Summary: The Department of Nursing Administration at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time TH Assistant Director of Nursing, WHEN Tour. The successful candidate will: Act as a bridge between hospital administration and nursing leadership. Provide managerial support and oversight to nursing units, ensuring that care standards and day-to-day operations are upheld. Encompass various responsibilities, including ensuring that patient care requirements are met, maintaining safe and fiscally responsible staffing levels, ensuring efficient service delivery, and achieving positive patient outcomes. Ensure that established hospital policies and procedure are followed. Be responsible for managing patient throughput.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.
- New York State Registered Nurse License.
- 5+ years of nursing work experience.
- BCLS and ACLS Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Master of Science in Nursing Degree or other health-related discipline.
- 1+ year of experience in a nursing leadership role.
