About The Position

Assistant Director-Maintenance Our client, a well-respected, innovative healthcare organization, located in Nassau County, has engaged us to assist them in finding an experienced facilities leader to assume the role of Assistant Director of Maintenance This is an exciting and dynamic full-time position, providing daily supervision of operations and maintenance of the facility. Key responsibilities in this role include: completing preventative maintenance tasks, supervising the maintenance department, putting together staff schedules, overseeing work that has been completed, and conducting employee training. Renovations and improvements will be planned out and budgeted, along with inventory and ordering. This position offers a wide variety of problem solving and management for a self- motivated individual. Supported by an excellent team of professionals with longevity and a commitment to serving, this key leadership role will provide supervision, staff support and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure that standards of quality care are supported by the maintenance team. We are looking to speak to someone who has 2+ years of experience as a supervisor of engineering, maintenance or Facilities Management staff, preferably in a healthcare facility. Associate Degree in Engineering, or at least four (4) years of experience as a skilled Journeyman in a trade, strong problem solving skills and working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general maintenance. Requirements
