To ensure proper training and supervision of all Engineering personnel and to provide consistent, cost-effective maintenance programs that ensure the Hotels safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years experience in a management role within the engineering field.
  • Must be able to create and manipulate spreadsheets and word documents.
  • Knowledge and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Must have great communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previouse Engineering Leadership in a Four Diamond or Convention Resort preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to coordinate and operate, in an economical, legal and safe manner, all Heat, Light, Power (H,L,P) and Rooms & Maintenance (R&M) for the hotel.
  • Must be able to provide direct supervision of engineering staff to ensure completion of assigned tasks and duties.
  • Must be able to plan tasks, assign duties, and follow up with team to ensure execution and review performance effectively.
  • Must be able to inspect physical plant and equipment as well as monitor maintenance and preventative maintenance programs throughout the resort.
  • Must be able to coordinate with other departments all work necessary to maintain operating conditions with regard to safety and health standards set forth by Omni Hotels and Resorts and legal requirements.
  • Will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, counseling, training, and documenting performance for engineering associates.
  • Must be able to recommend to management possible projects for future capital budgets. Will be responsible for obtaining bids, providing supervision and coordinating contractors in performance of project work.
  • Will be responsible for the creation of schedules, staffing and payroll control.
  • Must complete any other assignments or duties assigned.
  • Will be responsible for attending all relevant meeting.
