Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or business administration; or High school diploma with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with operations, facilities, and implementation required.
  • Experience working with low-income and homeless populations.
  • Availability to work flexible days and hours.
  • Skills in collaborating with other disciplines and community service providers.
  • Understanding of and willingness to adhere to program operational boundaries.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, family systems, and social backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; valid driver's license, reliable transportation, passage of background clearance, TB test and proof of liability insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and facility oversight and support for Daybreak Center.
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for Daybreak Center, with Assistant Director – Programs, in the absence of the Director.
  • Supervise Center operations including maintenance, supplies, contracts, building projects, risk management, safety and technology, and quality assurance.
  • Directly supervise staff and operations across multiple departments, including maintenance, food service, front desk reception, and volunteer coordination.
  • Actively support and hold each supervised employee responsible for achieving their professional growth and development goals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
  • Manage routine and unannounced health and fire inspections, consistently achieving passing results and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Ensure efficient and ethical processing of all material and financial donations, maintaining accurate records and donor communication.
  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements and manage operational budgets.
  • Work to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Represent operations at required meetings including community, leadership, and staff meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
