Assist with the administration of the Company's compliance with Federal, State, and City and County of Honolulu laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and guidance as it relates to civil rights. Assist in the preparation and review the EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) policy statement and the written EEOP. Assist management in collecting and analyzing employment data, identifying problem areas, setting goals and timetables, and developing programs to achieve goals. Plan, implement, and monitor internal audit and reporting systems to measure program effectiveness and where proactive action is needed. Maintain awareness of current EEO laws and regulations; ensure that laws and regulations affecting non‑discrimination are updated in policy and disseminated to responsible officials and/or identified staff. Review the Company's non‑discrimination policy and procedures with all managers and supervisors to ensure it is understood and followed. Concur in the hiring and promotion process by reviewing employment documents to ensure that actions by the Company are in compliance with civil rights requirements. Investigate complaints of discrimination and/or harassment. Participate in the CRO's employee support function, including outreach to employees after critical incidents, promoting the employee assistance program, attending court hearings with employees, and guiding employees to the appropriate resources. In conjunction with Human Resources, periodically review policies and written procedures regarding employment practices (e.g., hiring, promotions, demotions, training), complaints, reasonable accommodations, performance evaluation tools, grievance procedures, and collective bargaining agreements. May serve as liaison between the Company; Federal, State, and the City and County of Honolulu; regulatory agencies; and community groups representing minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and other protected class organizations. Provide EEO training for employees and managers to educate, build awareness, and execute the Company's civil rights policies and procedures. In conjunction with Human Resources, inform employees and applicants of available training programs and professional development opportunities and the entrance requirements. Audit postings of the EEO policy statement to ensure current compliance information is posted. Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and confidential information. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical behavior and professional integrity.
