About The Position

Responsible for assisting with fund-raising programs designed to secure annual (renewable) gifts from individuals, alumni, foundations, and/or corporations. Will work under the direction of the Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business administration, communications, or related field and three years of related experience; or five years of related experience to include customer service. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism, competence, and integrity in dealing with a variety of individuals, including university administrators, faculty, alumni, and institutional donors.
  • Experience in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding annual giving gifts from individuals.
  • Proven skills in annual giving fundraising, interpersonal communications, and project planning and execution.
  • Maintain and process all annual and lifetime membership practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Actively engage in new donor cultivation through prospect outreach, relationship-building activities, and targeted events.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of additional related experience.
  • Experience in PowerPoint and a constituent database is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts for the unit (non-donors with a capacity of $250,000 and below; gifts that are renewable and may be comprised of cash and or pledges).
  • Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel solicitation campaigns, including direct mail, email, social media, and phone outreach.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Director, help plan and execution of UTMB's annual Day of Giving, including marketing strategy, campus engagement and donor acquisition.
  • Provide regular reports on giving trends, membership renewals, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage all appeal codes, packages, and segmentation within Raiser's Edge for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Manage various alumni volunteer programs for their routine board meetings throughout the year.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Performs related duties as required
