About The Position

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations, the Assistant Director for Recognition and Engagement will be responsible for managing and overseeing several key functions: Milestone Recognition programs, behavior based recognition programs, the Regents Society, the Lux Libertas Philanthropy Award, the annual Massey Distinguished Service awards, and other recognition programs that are currently, or may become, managed by the UDO Donor Relations team. This position will play a key and primary role in the acknowledgement and stewardship of our donors, particularly as it relates to recognition and engagement of the University’s most loyal donors.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing Milestone Recognition programs
  • Managing and overseeing behavior based recognition programs
  • Managing and overseeing the Regents Society
  • Managing and overseeing the Lux Libertas Philanthropy Award
  • Managing and overseeing the annual Massey Distinguished Service awards
  • Managing and overseeing other recognition programs that are currently, or may become, managed by the UDO Donor Relations team
  • Play a key and primary role in the acknowledgement and stewardship of our donors, particularly as it relates to recognition and engagement of the University’s most loyal donors.
