About The Position

Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education & CDP Director, this role involves leading and supporting the development and implementation of pedagogical and curricular initiatives aligned with the mission and vision of the Center for Dialogue and Pluralism (CDP) and the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (OVPUE). This is a full-time, remote within the United States, 2-year term position. Responsibilities of the position include: Researching and evaluating scholarly advancements in education, advising OVPUE leadership on pedagogical developments. Leading the creation of materials to support the integration of CDP models across the university. Partnering with the CDP director to advocate for CDP’s programs and mission beyond Cornell. Additionally, the position entails providing strategic leadership for writing and publication efforts, focusing on disseminating research and findings through reports, presentations, and articles to a broad audience, as well as developing grant applications that advance research projects and program development.

Requirements

  • For full consideration, applicants must include both a resume and cover letter with their application.
  • Master’s degree and at least five years of experience teaching at the college level across disciplines and fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with and experience facilitating the CDP’s educational model
  • Demonstrated success facilitating dialogic educational processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of existing research and literature in the areas of dialogue education, pluralism, and pedagogical innovation
  • Proven experience supporting instructors and student-facing staff in integrating experiential teaching/learning, dialogue education, and student development principles into curricula, pedagogy, and academic support processes
  • Strong ability to utilize empirical research, theory, and assessment to improve educational outcomes and develop new educational interventions
  • High level of initiative and a flexible and collaborative nature is critical.
  • Sophisticated judgment, decision making, reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills are imperative.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision and carry out a wide array of duties and responsibilities
  • Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing.
