About The Position

The Assistant Director of Educational Outreach is a mid-level administrative position responsible for supporting the management, growth, and sustainability of the University’s pathway and dual enrollment initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Educational Outreach and working closely with the Director of College Credit Plus (CCP), this role supports pathway development, operational oversight, school district partnerships, and student support. The Assistant Director directly supports the Senior Director in leading growth strategies through new pathways between local districts and the university while assisting the effective day-to-day operation of dual credit programming while contributing to strategic planning, compliance, and relationship-building with secondary schools and external partners. The position is full-time, campus-based, and requires regular engagement with local and regional school districts.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Student Affairs, or related discipline).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience across secondary and/or higher education settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dual enrollment or College Credit Plus programming.
  • Understanding of admissions, recruitment, advising, and enrollment-related processes in higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make procedural decisions within policy frameworks.
  • Proficiency with data management systems and standard office technology.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
  • Ability to travel locally and statewide as required.
  • This position requires a collaborative, service-oriented approach and regular interaction with internal and external partners.
  • Evening and occasional weekend work may be required during peak recruitment or outreach periods.

Responsibilities

  • Program Administration & Student Support Supports efforts in growing pathway programs connecting secondary education to university academic programs.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and advisement of dual-enrolled students through College Credit Plus (CCP), Early College High School programs, and Career Technical Education (CTE) partnerships.
  • Coordinate and conduct information sessions, on-site school visits, and family engagement events for students, parents, counselors, and administrators.
  • Support student transition planning.
  • Partnership Development & Collaboration Serve as a liaison between the University and local school districts, career centers, and secondary partners.
  • Collaborate with secondary school administrators on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of dual enrollment partnerships and academic pathways.
  • Work with academic departments, enrollment management, advising, and student services to ensure seamless program delivery and alignment with university standards.
  • Compliance, Data & Reporting Support data collection, reporting, and required submissions to the Ohio Department of Higher Education and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
  • Assist in monitoring and implementing state, federal, and institutional policy changes related to Educational Outreach.
  • Maintain accurate student files and records in compliance with FERPA, state regulations, and University policies.
  • Prepare and distribute required data and reports to secondary school partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Policy & Operational Support Provide input on Educational Outreach policies, procedures, and operational improvements.
  • Assist with general program oversight and problem-solving within established policy guidelines.
  • Support strategic planning efforts related to enrollment growth, partnership expansion, and pathway development.
